How is the IOSH Managing Safely assessed?

The IOSH Managing Safely course assessment is two-fold. On the last day of the course, you’ll take a 45-minute 30 question multiple-choice exam. The pass mark for this is 60% (36 out of 60).

The second assessment stage involves a practical risk assessment which you will carry out independently in your workplace after the teaching segment of the course ends. This must be completed within 1 week of finishing the course, and you’ll have 1 hour to complete the assessment. 

Is the IOSH Managing Safely available online?

At Grow Training, we believe that the IOSH Managing Safely is best delivered as a classroom-based training course only. 

You will be instructed by one of our IOSH licensed trainers at either one of our training centres in Glasgow or Edinburgh. We can deliver the course in-house at your workplace if your premises are suitable.

FAQs

There are no formal entry requirements to do the IOSH Managing Safely course. You just need to be in a managerial or supervisory role.

You should hear back from us 2-3 weeks after you have taken both the IOSH exam and completed your risk assessment.

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive an IOSH Managing Safely certificate within a few weeks. This will be printed by IOSH and countersigned by Grow Training.

The IOSH Managing Safely course is priced at a flat rate of £395 per person for three days of training.

At Grow training we offer another two accredited IOSH courses - IOSH Working Safely and the IOSH Leading Safely. Both of these courses take place over one day and the IOSH Working Safely is available via E-learning and open to employees at any level of the business.
