The classroom and virtual classroom courses consist of 4 full days training followed on a fifth day with a 90 minute multi-choice assessment.
Unless otherwise stated, the invigilated assessment will take place at Grow Training's training centre in Glasgow and is an old fashioned paper exam so be sure to bring a pencil and rubber!
Yes! NEBOSH require you to attend the full 4 days training and assessment day.
We can deliver these sessions via a virtual classroom hosted on the 'Zoom' web conferencing software. This allows you to complete the training from your workplace or home using a computer or tablet device.
When you sign up to the course, you will be sent joining instructions which will include a link that will install the application on your device and take you to the virtual classroom.
No! E-Learning is a pre-recorded course, a little like an interactive book.
Our virtual sessions are delivered live by a qualified and experienced NEBOSH presenter. You will be encouraged to interact at all times and will complete practical sessions with other delegates via virtual break-out rooms.

To take the NEBOSH Process Safety Management Certificate it is recommended you have:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
and/or
Knowledge and Experience of working within the Process Industries
It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

The qualification is broadly comparable to level 7 in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and to RQF Level 4 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The end of course assessment is a multi-choice paper. The pass rate for this course is relatively high, however we recommend that delegates come prepared to engage in the training sessions and to conduct personal study out with this to maximise their chances of success.
Every individual is different and the amount of studying required will depend on your existing knowledge and experience. However, it is recommended that learners commit to 10-20 hours of personal study time in addition to the four days presenter-led training to maximise their chance of being successful in achieving their desired pass mark.
The end of course multi-choice assessment is made up of 40 questions. Learners are required to gain a minimum of 24 / 40 (60%) to pass the course and gain the certification.
Yes! If for any reason you have been unable to complete the exam or haven't gained enough marks to pass, you can book a re-sit with our exams team.

No. The end of course multiple choice assessment paper is taken under exam conditions with no notes or learning aids permitted.
You will receive your results within 15 working days of sitting the examination. Once you have achieved a pass a qualification parchment will be issued. This is normally within 20 working days of the confirmation of the successful unit.
